Dr. Olga Krasa-Ryabets is a Canadian theatre director and researcher based in Prague. She holds a Theatre Specialist BA with Honours (University of Toronto; California State University, Los Angeles), an MA in Alternative Theatre Directing and Puppetry (Academy of Performing Arts in Prague) and a PhD in Theatre Studies (University of Amsterdam).
Olga has over 20 years of professional theatre experience in Canada and across Europe. Over the years, her work received the support of numerous organizations such as the European Cultural Foundation, Performing Arts Academy in Prague, University of Amsterdam, French Ministry of Culture and Communication, The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia as well as Polish Ministry of Culture.
Olga has been teaching at university level since 2012. Her teaching experience extends over all areas of theatre, with specialization in acting and theory, as well as literary and cultural analysis, history, and media studies. She has successfully prepared students for entry examinations to theatre schools in Czech Republic and abroad.
